Garden Vegetable Super Soup

What to do with all those vegetables you're growing in your garden? Make soup. Picking the vegetables is half the fun.

Ingredients:

3 qt. beef broth
1 C. green beans
1 zucchini
4 large fresh tomatoes, peeled
1 small onion
3 C. tomato ketchup
2 yellow crookneck squash
½ lb. ground beef
1 large carrot
1 C. cut corn
Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation:

First, raid the garden for all the vegetables you can find. Fresh is always better. Then in a 4 quart Dutch oven pour the beef broth and simmer. Cut up the vegetables and add to the pot. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes. Add ketchup, salt and pepper. Break up ground beef by pinching off small pieces and add to soup. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until ground beef is done. Serve with hot French bread.
