Ingredients:
- 1 kilo big prawns
- 1 teaspoon Fennel ( jintan manis )
- 1 teaspoon Cumin ( jintan putih ) roast in dry pan , ground together.
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds ( biji sawi ) slow hit for 1 min. ( A )
- 2-3 Cardamon seeds
- 1 small Cinnamon Bark
- 3 -4 big onions
- 1 cm dried turmeric root
- 2 big tomatoes
- 10 -20 fresh red chillies , ground together ( B )
- 1 cm galangal root
- 1 turmeric leaf
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 100 g grated coconut - fry the coconut until brown and grind, smooth paste
- 100 g petai
- Salt - to taste
Method:
Heat oil, add ground ingredients A and B together, fry till fragrant.
Add in the grinded coconut, put prawns in sauce and stir until sauce thicken ,salt to taste and add in petai.
