Recipes with Potatoes |

Potatoes are rich of carbohydrates. They are easy to cook and ready to give energy. Here are two recipes with potatoes. |
Potato WedgesIngredients- 5 medium potatoes

4 cloves of garlic (chopped)

1tsp mixed herbs
- ½ tsp pepper powder
-
6 tbsp olive oil
-
2tbsp lemon juice
-
Salt to taste
Method- Preheat oven to 1800C
- Cut potatoes into wedges without removing the skin
- Blanch in hot salted water and drain into a bowl
- Add salt, garlic, pepper powder, mixed herbs, lemon juice and 3 spoons olive oil and mix
- Sprinkle the remaining olive oil over them
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes
- Serve hot
Potato SoupIngredients- 2 medium potatoes

1 onion
-
3 celery stalks and leaves
-
2tbsp vegetable oil
-
2½ cups milk
-
1 bay leaf
-
2tbsp butter
-
Salt to taste
Method- Peel and cube potatoes
- Chop onion and celery
- Fry them for 5 minutes in oil
- Put all the vegetables in a vessel and add boiling water
- Add the bay leaf and salt to them
- Drain and keep liquid
- Mash vegetables and add butter
- Stir in milk and serve warm
