Perfect Mozzarella Cheese Salad
To experience a taste heaven follow this simple recipe. Buy the best Buffalo Mozzarella cheese and fresh organic basil leaves. Use your most fresh and expensive extra virgin olive oil. For one person as a starter you will need:
- 1 Mozzarella cheese – drained
- 12 Basil leaves
- 1 organic vine tomato
- 2-4 teaspoons of olive oil
- 4-6 black olives
- 1-2 grinds of black pepper
Preparation
- Arrange 8 leaves of basil in an overlapping line.
- Slice the cheese and lay this on top of the line of basil leaves.
- Slice the tomato and lay in a similar fashion to one side of the cheese.
- Spoon the olive oil onto the plate ensuring that most covers the cheese but leaving some of the cheese uncovered. (The contrast between the milky white cheese and the fresh green oil is visually alluring).
- Add the grinds of black pepper in a similar fashion.
- Finally garnish with the remaining basil leaves and black olives. Eat immediately.
