Ingredients:
- 16oz box of macaroni
- 4 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 ½ c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees and prepare macaroni according to package directions.
- Mix beaten eggs with milk and set aside.
- Drain macaroni and place in 9x13 pan.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Drop bits of butter all over top of cheese.
- Shake pepper and salt over the butter and cheese.
- Pour milk mixture over cheese and put in oven.
- Cook approximately 30 minutes, check to be sure it is thoroughly cooked.
- When golden brown and bubbly around edges, it should be done.
Do not over cook.
Variations:
This recipe is best with extra sharp cheddar cheese if you can find it.
