Bread and Cheese Casserole

This makes a Great side dish or main meal.

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded montery jack cheese
  • 1 12 oz. can Mexican -style Corn
  • 1 4 oz. can green chilies, drained, seeded and chopped

Method:

  1. Spread bread slices lightly with butter or margarine, cut bread in
  2. 1/2 inch cubes.  Set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt, add dashes of hot
  4. pepper sauce;  stir in bread cubes.
  5. Turn into 8x8x2  inch baking dish.
  6. Let stand 1 hour at room temperature.
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 55 -60 minutes or till
  8. knife inserted just off center comes out clean
  9. serve immediately!
  10. Of course with most dishes you can add or put
  11. whatever it is you like in them, just be creative and enjoy!
