Tamarind Prawns

Everyone is welcome to try this simple and easy recipe.

Serves: 8

Preparation time:2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1kg large prawns
  • 100gm tamarind pulp
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 125gm frying oil

Method

  1. Trim the prawns and slice down the back,shell on,and wash.
  2. Mix the tamarind pulp with the salt,sugar and soy sauce in a bowl.
  3. Put the prawns in a marinade for about 1hr 30 mins.In the refrigerator
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan then add the marinated prawns in to cook.Cook till brown and a little burnt and serve.
