Deepfried King Prawn

Don't Know what to do with that extra kilo of king prawns? Try this and feast with delight.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg king prawns, shelled and deveined, with the tails intact
  • Plain flour
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup almonds chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 table spoon milk
  • Oil for deep frying.

Method:

  1. Dust prawns with the flour and dip in the combined egg and milk.
  2. Mix the oats and almonds together.
  3. Press prawns into this mixture and refrigerate for ½ an hour.
  4. Deep -fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle salt and serve with mayonnaise.
