Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon Made in the Microwave |

Quick and simple recipe for the microwave. |
You will need- 175g (6 oz)macaroni
- 175g 6 oz streaky bacon chopped with the fat cut off
- 3 tablespoons plain flour
- 25g (1 oz) butter
- 600ml 1 pint milk
- 125g (4oz)grated cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon English mustard
- salt,pepper to taste
- place macaroni in a large bowl with just over 1 liter (2 pints)boiling water and pinch of salt
- cover and cook on high power for 10 mins,drain and cover
- put bacon and buttering a bowl cover and cook on high power for 5 mins,stir in flour then add milk
- a little at a time cook on high power for about 4 mins stirring frequently
- mix in the mustard and most of the cheese into the sauce add macaroni and put in a dish.
- sprinkle on the rest of cheese then put back in microwave on high for about 5 mins
- brown under a hot grill
