Kids Cheesy Pasta in Five Minutes

A healthy and cheap meal for the family.

This treat always goes down well with the kids. It’s simple, quick, vegetarian, and tasty.

Ingredients:

  • 50g (A few handfuls of pasta). Stick to the twirls, shells, or macaroni.
  • 15g or a handful of grated cheese.
  • A saucepan half full of water.
  • A pinch o salt.

Optional:

Strips of sandwich ham.

Method:

  1. Bring the water in the saucepan to a bowl. Now let it simmer and add your pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta until Aldenti. (Not to hard and not too soft). This should take around 4-5 minutes.
  2. Drain the pasta with a colander or lid and keep the pasta in the saucepan. Now add your cheese while the pasta and saucepan are still hot. (Add your optional ham).
  3. Now place the lid back on the saucepan and shake the contents a few times. The cheese melts its way round the hot and wet pasta creating a creamy sauce effect. Wait for a good 60 seconds so all the cheese melts.
  4. You might want to mix it a few times with a fork.

Tip contents onto a plate and call the kids in for a well-deserved treat.

Great served with Garlic bread.
