This treat always goes down well with the kids. It’s simple, quick, vegetarian, and tasty.
Ingredients:
- 50g (A few handfuls of pasta). Stick to the twirls, shells, or macaroni.
- 15g or a handful of grated cheese.
- A saucepan half full of water.
- A pinch o salt.
Optional:
Strips of sandwich ham.
Method:
- Bring the water in the saucepan to a bowl. Now let it simmer and add your pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta until Aldenti. (Not to hard and not too soft). This should take around 4-5 minutes.
- Drain the pasta with a colander or lid and keep the pasta in the saucepan. Now add your cheese while the pasta and saucepan are still hot. (Add your optional ham).
- Now place the lid back on the saucepan and shake the contents a few times. The cheese melts its way round the hot and wet pasta creating a creamy sauce effect. Wait for a good 60 seconds so all the cheese melts.
- You might want to mix it a few times with a fork.
Tip contents onto a plate and call the kids in for a well-deserved treat.
Great served with Garlic bread.
