Hot Hot Valentine Treats |

Don’t waste your time in the kitchen on Valentine’s Day because it is the day to be spent with your better half. Here are some Valentine treats that you can prepare within 20 minutes for your special one without complicated methods. |
Mushroom Pepper FettuccineIngredients- A small packet of washed and blanched mushrooms, diced
- Half a packet of fettuccine, blanched
- A pepper each of green/yellow/red capsicum, diced
- 6 pods of garlic, chopped
- 3 g chilli flakes
- 10 g cheese
- 30 ml olive oil
- A few green olives
Method- Heat oil in a non stick pan
- Add in the chopped garlic
- Add the mushrooms and peppers and cook till slightly charred
- Add in the fettuccine and the chilli flakes and toss
- Throw in some chopped olives and sprinkle some cheese
- Serve hot
Spicy Cheese PastaIngredients- 250 g rotini pasta
- 150 g hot Italian sausage
- 1 sweet red pepper, sliced
- 1 medium sized onion, sliced
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- ½ jar (13 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded Italian four-cheese blend
Method- Preheat oven to 450 C
- Cook pasta following packaging direction. Let it drain.
- Cut sausage into ½-inch slices
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high beat
- Add sausage, sliced onions and peppers
- Cook for 10 minutes stirring occasionally until peppers and onions are tender
- Add sauce and bring to a simmer
- Stir in the drained pasta and ½ cup of the cheese
- Sprinkle remaining cheese over the pasta and bake at 450 C for 8 minutes
- Serve immediately
Tangy Peppar TomatoIngredients- 60 ml Absolut Peppar
- 60 ml spiced tomato juice
Method- Shake and strain all the ingredients
- Serve the drink without ice
