Spiced Beef Crisps

A new recipe for all beef lovers out there.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml Six Crowns
  • 600g tenderloin of beef - cut in broad slices across grain about ½ cm thick
  • 10 dried chillies }
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper corns }
  • 1 teaspoon jintan manis }
  • 1 teaspoon jintan puteh }
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder }Ground Together
  • 1 teaspoon kunyit powder }
  • 2cm ginger }
  • 1 stalk serai }
  • 2 pips garlic }
  • 4 Tablespoons fish sauce gravy
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon gourmet powder
  • 2 eggs - beaten
  • 60g cornflour

Garnishing

  • 300g chilled leafy Cameron's lettuce
  • Cucumber slices

Method

  1. Mix spices, Fish sauce gravy and seasoning in a mixing bowl
  2. Marinate beef slices. Keep in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. Pour beaten eggs into marinated beef
  4. Sprinkle cornflour over beef and blend in well with fingers
  5. Heat six crowns and deep fry till golden brown. Drain well on greaseproof paper before serving. Garnish. Serve hot
