Fried Fish

This is very easy to prepare and is not very much time consuming.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of fish (king fish would b e better).

    Marinate

  • 3 tsps green or red chilly paste.
  • Salt.
  • 1 lemon.
  • 2 tbps fish masala or dhana jeera powder.
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • FOR THE BATTER
  • 2 tbsps white flour
  • 1 egg.
  • 2 tsps carrom seeds(ajma)
  • 1 tsps red chilly powder or black pepper powder.
  • little salt.
  • Oil for shallow frying

Method

  1. Wash fish and marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Beat egg,add flour,salt, chilly powder and carrom seeds, add little water to make semi thick batter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan ,dip fish in the batter(one piece at a time) and shallow fry on medium heat,turn to fry other side,till golden brown.
  4. Take out and place on kitchen towel to absorb oil.(You can squeeze lemon on it)
  5. Serve hot with plain chips or masala chips and boiled vegetables.
  6. FOR MORE CRISPIER FISH, DIP FISH IN THE BATTER
