This stuff is so great you won't be able to get enough of it.
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 3/4 cups of sugar
- 1 pound of butter
- about a cup of chocolate chips
Method:
- Melt butter completely in medium sized pot.
- Stir in salt till dissolved.
- Add sugar, stir in figure eight motion until completely dissolved.
- Put in thermometer, keep stirring to keep from burning.
- When it reaches a little above soft crack, pour on to cookie sheet.
- When completely cooled, (put in freezer) cover with melted chocolate.
- When completely cooled again, flip over the sheet of toffee and chocolate, cover with the rest of chocolate.
- 8. Enjoy!
Variation:
Add slivered almonds to toffee, and sprinkle
powder fine almond over the top to make it look nice.
