Kerala-style dessert served after meals.

Let me introduce you a dessert made with milk. In Kerala, this is unavoidable in special occasions like marriage, birthday, or other cultural events.

Ingredients

  • Vermicelli - 100 gms
  • Milk - ½ ltr
  • sugar - 500 gms
  • cardamom powder - ½ tsp
  • Ghee (Indian clarified butter) - 3 tbs
  • Cashew nuts - 25 gms
  • Dry gapes - 25 gms
  • Water - 1 cup

Method

  1. Take a pan and put 3 tbs Ghee.
  2. Fry cashew nuts and dry gapes until it become light brown.When it become brown took off from the fire.
  3. Fry vermicelli in ghee until it become light brown.
  4. Add water and milk .
  5. Cook until the vermicelli become very soft.
  6. When it become soft, add sugar .
  7. Close the fire add fried cashew,dry grapes and cardamom powder.

This is a Kerala-style dessert to be served after a meal.
