Let me introduce you a dessert made with milk. In Kerala, this is unavoidable in special occasions like marriage, birthday, or other cultural events.
Ingredients
- Vermicelli - 100 gms
- Milk - ½ ltr
- sugar - 500 gms
- cardamom powder - ½ tsp
- Ghee (Indian clarified butter) - 3 tbs
- Cashew nuts - 25 gms
- Dry gapes - 25 gms
- Water - 1 cup
Method
- Take a pan and put 3 tbs Ghee.
- Fry cashew nuts and dry gapes until it become light brown.When it become brown took off from the fire.
- Fry vermicelli in ghee until it become light brown.
- Add water and milk .
- Cook until the vermicelli become very soft.
- When it become soft, add sugar .
- Close the fire add fried cashew,dry grapes and cardamom powder.
This is a Kerala-style dessert to be served after a meal.
