Decadent Chocolate Syrup Recipe

This is my Granny's breakfast chocolate syrup recipe.

It is very rich and delicious. Your kid's will love it. Only for an occasional treat though!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 ¼ cups milk

Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Heat on medium until mixture is boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes depending on how thick you want it. You can add more milk if you want the mixture thinner so that it will go farther.

That's it, you're done! It is delicious served with home made biscuits, but I have had it with loaf bread before. Children won't care what type of bread you have with it; they'll just love the sweet taste!
