-
1(one) teaspoon of vanilla extract (usually a brown liquid)
-
2(two) tablespoons of extra caster sugar
Method:
-
Whisk the egg whites in a bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks start to form.
-
Add the sugar gradually and beat until stiff and glassy, fold in the icing sugar
And corn flour.
-
Place the milk and vanilla extract in a deep frying pan over a low heat
And bring to a simmer.
-
Add large amounts of the meringue mixture and cook in batches
For 2(two) minutes then gently turn over and cook for another 2(two) minutes or until firm to the touch.
-
Set the meringues aside and keep warm.
-
Whisk the egg yolks and that extra 2(two)
Tablespoons of caster sugar until thick and pale.
ThatÂ’s pretty much all there is to it pretty simple really.
