Jackie's Chocolate Drop Oatmeal Cookies

For the chocolate and cookie lover. You can't eat just one.

Ingredients

  • 2c. sugar
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 3 cups of oatmeal
  • ½ cup of peanut butter

Method

  1. Boil sugar, cocoa and butter and milk mixture for 1 minute then add 3 cups of oatmeal, ½ cup of peanut butter and 1 tsp of vanilla.

  2. Drop on waxed paper then wait 5 minutes to serve.

My mother (Jackie) made this for all 4 of her boys growing up. The recipe has been a part of our families for 40 years!

I was looking for something new to add to my Thanksgiving treats gift list this year. I love making treats for everyone on the holidays, but I hate making the same things. And I love cookies, since I have a major sweet tooth, yum!

i make some cookies with a recipe that is almost exact to that one, a few differences. oh they are so good no matter how you make them!!!! thanks for sharing.
