Foolproof Cookies for Can't Cooks

Anyone can make these delicious peanut cookies in just a few minutes. They really are simple.

These simple peanut cookies take about five minutes to make and another ten minutes to cook. They are so simple that anyone can make them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. Mix together one cup of peanut butter (I use the smooth one) and one cup of sugar.
  2. Add one egg to the mixture and beat well with a spoon until smooth and well mixed. (You don't need any flour to make this recipe work!)
  3. Put spoonfuls of the mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet and press down lightly to spread each cookie out. Use a fork to mark a criss cross pattern on the top of each.
  4. Bake at 375 F or 190 C. Your cookies will take about ten minutes to cook. Remove them from the oven when golden brown, remove from the baking sheet with a knife and place on a rack to cool.

This recipe makes about 30 cookies, depending on the size you prefer.

Peanut cookies will keep for few days if they are cooled and stored in an air tight tin, or jar. You probably won't have any left o store anyway as they are scrumptious.

These would also make a lovely gift if they were put in a pretty box and tied with ribbon.
