Easiest Cookie Recipe

This is a very easy recipe I found sometime in my kitchen. A cookie recipe, that can be tried out by learners. Just an easy way to have fun doing-it-yourself.

Looking for what to do today, my fingers began to shake and jitter. I just had to do something new. Then I had a brain wave, I would do something I had done before- bake, yes, and bake my most favourite snacks, cookies.

I learnt this recipe from and old cookery cook I found lying about somewhere in my kitchen, and I thought I'd share it with those that have the flare, and even if you are not interested, did you know that new recipes could serve as perfect gifts. I mean, type it out on colourful paper, write a sweet not beneath it spray some nice fragrance on it, and send it out in an envelop to Grandma or your great-aunt, or to that lovely lady that waves at you from her garden across the road.

Never knew making cookies could be so easy. First of all, the recipes:

Ingredients:

  • Plain flour- 125g
  • Sugar - 50g
  • Butter - 75 g
  • Porridge Oats - 75g
  • 2 eggs
  • a table spoon of milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • Dark Chocolate -250
  • Peanuts (optional)
  • Baking soda

I forgot to mention, that I eventually made chocolate chip cookies. But of course this can be omitted, it depends on your taste.

And now, the long awaited method:

  1. Blend the chocolates to large chunks
  2. Melt the butter over some warm water
  3. Mix the Flour, soda, sugar and pinch of salt in a bowl, then add the oats,
  4. Mix well, and stir in the eggs, already whisked
  5. Then mix in your melted butter, and tablespoon of milk
  6. At this point the peanuts can be added if necessary
  7. Turn on your oven to mark 5
  8. While the oven is preheating, using a spoon, spread out your mixture evenly on an oven tray. Remember to space them out as they have a tendency to increase in size.
  9. Use a fork to part down the chunks and then place your tray in the oven
  10. Bake for about 25 minutes, until they are golden brown

Now your cookies are ready to eat. See easy. Now enjoy, with a glass of milk, or with some freshly squeezed orange juice, I'll probably give the recipe for that next time.

I sure would try it out! Just a quick question, all ovens are different, so when you say bake it on 5, what temperature are you reffering to?
