What you need:
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
To prepare:
Grease 8" pan.
Line with foil so it extends way over sides.
Lightly grease foil.
Beat butter until fluffy.
Add sugar and egg.
Beat at high 2 to 3 minutes until light in color.
Add vanilla, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Beat to blend and batter is stiff.
Stir in chips.
Scrape into pan and smooth top.
Bake EXACTLY 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Leave in pan.
Cool on rack for 4 hours.
Foil ends will help get blondies out of pan.
Cut into 16 squares.
