One Half Pound Cake

This is an easy pound cake that my 13 year old daughter enjoys making.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp.baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour a tube pan.
  3. Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla flavoring.
  6. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk and mix well.
  7. Pour into prepared tube pan.
  8. Bake for 1 hour or until done.
