How to Make a Heart Shaped Valentine's Day Cake

Need the perfect cake for your Valentines Day party? Try making this heart cake.

  1. Start by baking 2 cakes.
  2. You will need one square cake, and one round cake.
  3. Once the cakes are baked remove them from the baking pans, and let them cool on a cooling rack for at least an hour.
  4. Now that the cakes are cool it is time to assemble your heart.
  5. Start by cutting the round heart in half.
  6. Next place the square cake on your serving dish.
  7. You will need to place your square so it resembles a diamond.
  8. To do so, place one corner of the square, so that it points towards you.
  9. At the top of the cake will be another point, that is the way you want it.
  10. Now take one half of your circle cake and place the flat part against the flat part of the square cake between the point at the top, and the point on the side.
  11. Do the same thing for the other side.
  12. Now you can frost it the way you like, and serve at your Valentines Day party.
