Diabetic Chocolate Decadence 2

Below you will find some of the most delicious recipes that are not only suitable for diabetics but those planning on losing weight, those who are on a diet too or those who just plan to eat healthily.

Chocolate Decadence Cake recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup non-fat milk
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup Sun sweet Lighter Bake
  • 3 large eggs
  • Grated chocolate and fresh berries (optional)

Method:

  1. Coat 9-inch spring form pan with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In saucepan, combine 3/4 cup sugar, cocoa, flour and milk.
  3. Stir over low heat until warm.
  4. Remove; stir in chocolate and Lighter Bake.
  5. With electric mixer, beat eggs 3 minutes; gradually add remaining sugar.
  6. Fold chocolate mixture into beaten eggs.
  7. Pour into prepared pan.
  8. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a few crumbs cling to a wooden pick; cake will be very moist.
  9. Cool.
  10. Chill four hours or overnight.

To serve, dust with cocoa powder; garnish with grated chocolate and fresh berries, if desired. Slice with sharp knife, wiping clean between cuts.

Chocolate Sin Cake recipe!

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups apple sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Method:

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar well.
  3. Add eggs 1 at a time.
  4. Beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Melt the chocolate morsels with the syrup in a double boiler.
  6. Add to the butter and egg mixture.
  7. Add remaining ingredients, and blend well.
  8. Pour batter into a well-greased 10-inch bunt pan or a 10-inch round pan.
  9. Bake for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool well before turning out of pan.

This cake is very moist and requires no frosting, but it is delicious with whipped cream.
