Cream Cheese Frosting

Recipe of Cream cheese frosting.

Cream cheese frosting adds beauty to even mediocre cakes. It is one of the baking basics. It is perfect for any type of cake but suits well over non chocolate ones. Finely applied cream cheese makes any cake look extremely good looking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 15 ounce cream cheese
  • 4 cups sugar(powdered preferably)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Method:

  1. In a wide bowl, take the butter and cheese and mix them well. Use an elecric mixer for best results.
  2. Mix these ingredients until the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Now add the taken vanilla extract to this mixture and mix it again.
  4. Now add the powdered sugar in little quantities giving intervals in between two additions. Mix the mixture well while adding the sugar.
  5. Mix sugar till you think the sweetness is enough.
  6. You can use a spatula to spread it evenly on the cake.


You can alter the amounts of vanilla extract, sugar, butter on your wish. The amounts given are standard and they are subject to change on one's interest. You can also add some more ingredients depending on your taste.
