Butter Pound Cake Recipe |

This is a family favorite for the holidays. |
Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 eggs
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Method- Preheat oven to 325F. In a medium bowl, sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Stir
- In vanilla. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to butter mixture, beginning
- And ending with flour mixture, mixing well. Pour batter into a greased tube pan.
- Bake 90 minutes or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean
