Apple Crisp

A recipe for apple crisp that is quick and easy. Served warm with vanilla ice cream if you would like.

4 generous portions

Set oven to 375 degrees - 30 minute bake time

Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Apples (peeled & sliced) I use an apple that is a bit tart for this recipe.
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Flour
  • ¼ Cups Oats (oatmeal)
  • ¼ to ½ Tsp Cinnamon (more or less according to taste)
  • ¼ Tsp Nutmeg
  • 5 Tbs Butter (softened)

Method

  1. In a small bowl put all ingredients except apples and mix, until it resembles crumbs or grains of sand on the beach.
  2. Peel and slice apples, place in a square baking dish.
  3. Spray with cooking spray so there won't be much in clean up.
  4. With apples in baking dish, sprinkle dry mixture from bowl on top.
  5. Do not mix together.
  6. Put in oven and bake approximately 30 minutes, until nicely browned.
  7. Serve warm, with or without ice cream.
