The Best Omelet Ever |
|

by John Turner, Dec 4, 2008 |
Here is how I make my omelet, which is simple enough for novice chefs and delicious beyond belief. |
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- butter
- Mashed potatoes
- salt
- pepper
- LOVE
Procedure- Get all of the ingredients out and prepare them. (for the mashed potatoes, i use store bought ones or my grandmas ones, if you can, make them yourself, but I'm just too lazy =] )
- Crack the two eggs into a bowl. Put in salt and pepper and whisk until you get a fine liquid
- Heat up a small pan to high degrees and put your hand over it to tell when it is hot
- Next, drop a slice of butter in the pan and move it around the pan with the spatula
- take for-fulls of mashed potatoes and fill up the pan with enough to satisfy your hunger ( dont put too much!)
- mix the potatoes around until they are a light, light crispy brown
- pour in the egg mixture
- turn heat down to 4 or 5 or so
- let the eggs cook and occasionally check the bottom to see what color it is. if it is a golden yellow, then flip it
- to flip it, cut the omelet into 4 pieces, like a pizza, with the spatula, then flip each individual piece
- let it cook for another 2 minutes or so, dont over do this part
- place on a plate, and enjoy!
- serves 1 or 2
