The Best Omelet Ever

Here is how I make my omelet, which is simple enough for novice chefs and delicious beyond belief.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • butter
  • Mashed potatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • LOVE

Procedure

  • Get all of the ingredients out and prepare them. (for the mashed potatoes, i use store bought ones or my grandmas ones, if you can, make them yourself, but I'm just too lazy =] )
  • Crack the two eggs into a bowl. Put in salt and pepper and whisk until you get a fine liquid
  • Heat up a small pan to high degrees and put your hand over it to tell when it is hot
  • Next, drop a slice of butter in the pan and move it around the pan with the spatula
  • take for-fulls of mashed potatoes and fill up the pan with enough to satisfy your hunger ( dont put too much!)
  • mix the potatoes around until they are a light, light crispy brown
  • pour in the egg mixture
  • turn heat down to 4 or 5 or so
  • let the eggs cook and occasionally check the bottom to see what color it is. if it is a golden yellow, then flip it
  • to flip it, cut the omelet into 4 pieces, like a pizza, with the spatula, then flip each individual piece
  • let it cook for another 2 minutes or so, dont over do this part
  • place on a plate, and enjoy!
  • serves 1 or 2
