Easy No Mess Camping Omelets

These omelets are easy to make with no fuss and no muss. They are especially great for camping because mess is kept at a minimum with no pots or pans to wash.

These omelets are easy to make with no fuss and no muss. They are especially great for camping because mess is kept at a minimum with no pots or pans to wash. For sleepovers, kids can put together their own omelets the night before with their names on them and keep them in the fridge until morning. Just give the bag an extra shake before dropping it into the boiling water. Add a few minutes extra cooking time if prepared omelets were stored over night in the refrigerator.

Since eating eggs is like taking a multi-vitamin, and washing pans is a chore, this one is a winner on two counts. Thanks for sharing.

This sounds delicious. And it contains two of my favorite food groups. Ham and mushrooms.

My daughters did a similar omelet when they were girl scouts, but I've just realised what a low-fat way this would be to make a really amazing omelet by adding my favourite ingredients from the list you gave.

It sounds good and easy but I would have thought the zip locks would melt from 15 minutes of boiling water. I will give these a try. best wishes, Ruby

Darlene Crokkett? I did not pick you for a rooting shooting cowgirl type Darlene. Great idea. I am going to give it a go. Or maybe Darlene McGyver?

And I am sure adorability is a word...and if not, it is now!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to those who left comments.

Shaun, I think I prefer McGyver...he was my favourite.
