Ingredients
- 1 Loaf of French Bread
- 1 Clove of minced garlic
- 1/4 Cup of Butter or Margarine
- 5 Tablespoons of Chives sliced (fresh or dried)
- Cheddar Cheese sliced
- Mozzarella Cheese sliced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit.
- Slice the french bread 1 1/2" thick, not cutting all the way through. Leave the slices attached to the loaf at the very bottom.
- Mix the minced garlic, butter and chives. Generously butter the slices of the loaf with the mixture.
- Place cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese slices in alternating pieces of the loaf.
- Wrap in tin foil so that the foil's fold is on top of the bread.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Variations
Try different kinds of cheese with this -- swiss, parmesan, etc. Whatever melts good and is your favourite will work!
